It is a blessing to pray together as a school community! Our Prayer Group warmly invites you to join them in prayer every Thursday during term time, from 9.00-9.30am in Cafe Covie.
Each week in the newsletter, our Prayer Group provides a passage of Scripture for us to meditate on and some prayer suggestions for the week ahead. These can all be found here.
So much happens every week at Covenant. Below are some things that have happened lately:

For the last decade, students in Years 7 and 8 have engaged in an annual immersive learning experience with the Living History incursion. Last Friday, once again, it was a joy to watch students actively engage with the past through presentations, role plays, physical historical activities and hands on artefact interaction. Year 8 students were the stars of stories about a Japanese samurai and a European knight. Year 7 students dressed up for stories of Ancient Egypt and China. Students were shocked to discover how different the life of children their own age was in the past and fascinated with the way people lived. Unlike a museum visit, students were able to hold, wear, use and interact with replica artefacts.

The Wheelchair Roadshow visited our two Year 10 PASS classes this week. Using a wheelchair themselves, students learnt the skills to play basketball in our Hall, together with aspects of road safety and risk taking, raising disability awareness and understanding the positive message about the benefits of Wheelchair Sport across Sydney and regional NSW and ACT. Our PASS students really enjoyed the experience and gained valuable insight into the challenges faced by those in wheelchairs in our community.
Looking at a map of the school and its key, we found where Prep is, the carpark, the school oval and the hall. We found a ‘treasure’ map and followed it around the school to find a treasure in Mrs Brown’s office! It was exciting to find that the treasure was a book which she read to the children. Mrs Brown showed us an even better treasure… the Bible, God’s word to us.
The children loved reading the school maps, looking for landmarks from the key, letters on the school buildings and following directions. They were also learning to draw an arrow and how to read an arrow. So much rich, fun learning!

Thank you for your patience at drop off and pick up times each day; it makes a big difference. We recognise there is a lot of traffic congestion at these times, however, the safety of our students is our greatest concern. The following suggestions are designed to ensure both the safety of our student and parent community, as well as assist with the flow of traffic.
