The Covie Prayer Group is a group of faithful Covie parents and friends who are committed to bringing our school, its students, staff and families before the Lord in prayer. Please come and join us!

Week 5

Praise God that He is with us through every hard circumstance!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Class parent morning tea next Tuesday will be a helpful time of networking and supporting each other in this important role.
  • Students and technology, may they use their school devices wisely as a tool for learning. Give thanks for TechServe who help keep our students safe online.
  • Japan Mission Trip training next Monday, for a productive session of cross cultural and language training.
  • Year 9 Commerce Market Day next Wednesday, for students to work well as a team, for good planning and preparation needed to host a successful stall.
  • Year 9 students & their teachers, for students to make wise choices, for genuine friendship building, protection of health & good study habits for upcoming assessments.
  • Year 7-10 students as they undertake their various assessments for the term, for students to be diligent in their schoolwork, to preserve when things are difficult and to give of their best.
  • Pray that all students will have the support they need & know that God is their ever-present help in trouble.

Prayer suggestions

  • Give thanks for our wonderful support & operational staff, for their hard work and dedication to the smooth running of our school.
  • Board Meeting taking place next Wednesday, for Godly wisdom as board members make decisions for the school’s future & give thanks for their time in service to our school.
  • Year 2 Kimbriki excursion next Wednesday, for safety & wonderful learning opportunities to see how to reduce, reuse and recycle and how to be caretakers of God’s creation.
  • Pray for Year 3 teachers & students, for a new student, for health protection, for each student’s growth & development through learning opportunities.
  • Year 12 Fusion evening next Monday, to celebrate the talents and hard work of our Year 12 students and may they feel well supported by the school community.
  • School captain speeches taking place next week, give thanks for the Year 11 students willing to step into leadership positions.
  • Year 7-10 students as they undertake their various assessments for the term, for students to be diligent in their schoolwork, to preserve when things are difficult and to give of their best.

Week 3

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Ongoing building works, safety on the jobsite, minimal delays and disruption due to rain, the successful completion of the project within time and budget.
  • KFC and Mustard, the Christian lunchtime clubs, give thanks for the student leaders who serve, pray many will come & participate.
  • Grandparents’ day next Wednesday, for a special morning to show love and appreciation to the grandparents in our Covie community.
  • Year 6 FLIP project presentations next Wednesday, for presentations to be a wonderful celebration of the hard work they have done over the term.
  • Pray for Year 4 & their teachers as they learn about the Lord’s prayer & for new students to make friends.
  • Year 12 Trial exams, for all students as they near the end of exams, give them stamina to finish well.
  • Year 11 Legal Studies excursion next Tuesday to the Supreme Court of NSW, safety for students as they travel independently to and from the city & a great learning opportunity.
  • Pray for Year 10 & their Coordinator, for finalising subject selections, for the Japan mission team preparation & that they will be good role models for younger students.

Week 2

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Prayer Suggestions:

  • School group tour taking place on Monday, for many families to see the importance of Christ-centred education & feel welcomed.
  • Primary Zone Athletics Carnival next Tuesday at Blacktown International Sports park, give thanks for our talented athletes that qualified for zone.
  • Year 3 – 6 Writers Workshop at Camp Kedron next Wednesday and Thursday, that students be inspired as they grow and develop their writing and illustration skills.
  • Year 12 Trial exams, for good health, stamina and rest for students & wisdom for parents to know how to support them.
  • Japanese students currently on exchange at Covie, that they enjoy their time in Australia and feel welcomed by all students, staff & host families.
  • Year 11 Ski Trip to Perisher, for the health and safety for all students as they travel and spend the weekend skiing & enjoying each other’s company.
  • Year 11 Bible society masterclass event at Dayspring Church in Castle Hill next Tuesday, for understanding as students explore contemporary issues from a biblical perspective.
  • Pray for Year 11 & their teachers, for candidates considering running for leadership positions and safety on the road as they get their licenses.

  • Give thanks for staff conference week
  • Pray for new students & their families, that they settle in quickly with their teachers and classes and find special friends.
  • The Class Parent morning tea next Monday, for connection, fellowship and support.
  • Pray for Year 6 & their teachers, for new students, for friendships and for students as they prepare FLIP projects.
  • Japan Mission Trip Training taking place this weekend, positive engagement by students as they learn about God’s plan for mission, how to engage with different aspects of the Japanese culture.
  • Year 7 – 10 Parent Teacher Interviews next Monday will be a helpful time for students, parents and teachers to hear & give feedback and helpful advice.
  • Year 11 HMS Excursion on Wednesday to PhysXrehab in Manly as students conduct a depth study.
  • Year 12 as they begin trial HSC exams next week and complete upcoming deadlines for Major Works.
