The Covie Prayer Group is a group of faithful Covie parents and friends who are committed to bringing our school, its students, staff and families before the Lord in prayer. Please come and join us!

Praise God for eternal life through Jesus!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Students and technology, may they use their school devices wisely as a tool for learning. Give thanks for TechServe who keep our students safe online, guidance for parents as they set boundaries for appropriate screen use.
  • Y12 HSC Fusion Major works showcase on Monday, give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate the many talents and the hard work of our Year 12 students.
  • SLC and School Captain elections being held next week, give thanks for the many students willing to step into leadership positions.
  • Y9 Commerce Market Day on Wednesday, students to work well as a team, for good planning and preparation.
  • Junior School Musical in Week 6: health & safety of performers & crew, staff as they prepare.
  • Pray for all those unwell, injured, undergoing treatment or waiting for test results, for healing, patience, God’s peace and comfort.
  • Pray for Kindy and their teachers that they will not be too tired or nervous for musical performance.
  • Pray for Year 11 & their teachers applying for leadership positions, running bible studies & Mustard, giving all their concerns to the Lord as they start to prepare for their Y12 journey.

Week 3

Praise God for eternal life in Jesus!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Parent Equip evening next Thursday, for Dr Collier as he presents an informative and thought-provoking evening on how we can help our kids navigate their faith as they become young adults.
  • Secondary gala days (Oztag, Basketball and Flag Football) taking place over the next week, safety, good weather & fun.
  • Year 11 Ski trip leaving for Perisher and returning late Sunday, for the health and safety for all students as they travel to and from the mountains and as they spend the weekend skiing.
  • HICES Music Festival taking place from Sunday to Wednesday at Stanwell Tops, give thanks for the opportunity for our students to collaborate with students from other schools and share their love of music in an exciting and fun-filled way.
  • Year 12 Trial Exams, for all students as they near the end of exams, for stamina and perseverance to finish well, teachers as they mark papers and provide valuable feedback.
  • Pray for Prep and their teachers, new families, those unwell, those covering teaching positions, give thanks for Bush Kindy and a new cubby house & kitchen.

Prayer Suggestions:

  • For all those suffering from illness and injury, for God’s healing hand upon them, for patience as they recover and support for them and their families.
  • The Group school tour taking place on Monday, for clear information, sense of community and Christ-centred approach to education to stand out.
  • Primary Zone North Met Athletics Carnival on Monday at Blacktown International Sports Park, give thanks for our talented athletes that qualified for zone, may they represent Covie well.
  • Wisdom for the Board and God’s provision for the right Principal for our school.
  • Primary State Mixed Oztag gala day next Wednesday in Werrington, for safe travels, a fun competition, great teamwork.
  • Year 10 Japan Mission training event taking place this weekend, positive engagement by students as they learn about God’s plan for mission, how to engage with different cultures and different aspects of the Japanese culture.
  • Japanese students from Kaimei school arriving on Saturday. May they enjoy their time in Australia and feel welcomed by our Covie community.
  • Continue to pray for Year 12 as they do their HSC trials and major works.
  • Ongoing preparations, health protection for all involved in Junior School Musical.

Praise God that with Him is eternal satisfaction & joy!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Term 3, for a productive, exciting and challenging term of learning, for students to show kindness, love and respect to those around them & staff, students and families to grow closer to Jesus.
  • Year 12 Trial Exams starting on Monday, diligence for students as they study; for peace, wisdom and understanding as they write.
  • Year 7 – 10 Parent/Teacher interviews on Monday, well attended, wisdom for teachers as they prepare, insightful & helpful for parents & students.
  • Junior School Musical, ongoing preparations and practices, for all students as they learn their lines and dance routines.
  • For those unwell, injured or recovering from major health problems, for God’s healing & that they would know God’s presence & peace. Pray for wisdom for the families caring & making medical decisions & that they too would be supported.
  • Pray for Year 6 & their teachers as they prepare for the upcoming Canberra trip and for friendships. Give thanks that Year 7 & 8 could attend helpful well-being sessions last week.
