Week 4

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.

Praise God that He is always with us & there is rest in Him!

Prayer suggestions:

  • Give thanks for our Board members that give so willingly of their time and are dedicated to seeing the vision and mission of our school fulfilled. For wisdom and guidance as they meet next week.
  • Year 5 camp taking place next week, safe travels and good health for all staff and students, a fun experience, filled with opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Primary Zone Swimming Carnival at Warringah Aquatic centre next Tuesday, give thanks for the talent and dedication of our swimmers & pray for healthy competition & fun.
  • Year 11 & 12 Visual Arts excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW next Tuesday to attend the Art Express exhibition, pray that it inspires and helps the students to appreciate the high standards that can be achieved by HSC students in Visual Arts
  • Year 12 English Advanced excursion to attend a performance of ‘The Tempest’ at Glen Street Theatre on Wednesday, give thanks for this learning opportunity to gain greater insight into their HSC work.
  • Protection of our L and P plate driving students, understanding the great responsibility they have on the roads, and to make wise choices.
  • Pray for Year 11 students & teachers & preparation for the Yarrabah teams.

Week 3

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Give thanks for our office and admin staff, for the support they are to teaching staff, students and families.
  • Secondary Parent information evening on Monday, to be well attended by parents & be an opportunity for new parents to get to know others & staff.
  • For many to attend the Covenant School tour taking place next Wednesday.
  • Upcoming Year 5 & 6 camps, for the ongoing planning and preparation to ensure camp is a fun and safe experience for every student.
  • Pray for Kindy students to adjust to their routine & for their teachers to get to know them well & meet their needs.
  • Year 11 Yarrabah trip training weekend taking place today and Saturday at school, for opportunities to bond as a team and for wisdom as they prepare the kids games program to be used in Yarrabah.’
  • New students, that they will continue to settle well and make good friendships and connections.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Give thanks for the Class Parent training session today, give thanks for class parents, for wisdom as they provide ongoing support for families this year.
  • Give thanks for the Primary Swimming Carnival this week & pray for another wonderful time for Secondary Swimming Carnival on Monday.
  • New students, that they will continue to settle well and make good friendships and connections.
  • Junior School Parent information evening next Tuesday, that it will be well attended, for parents to partner with the school and for positive parent-teacher relationships.
  • KFC and Mustard, the Christian lunchtime clubs, give thanks for the student leaders who serve, that many children will attend and participate, for the message of Christ’s love to be clearly portrayed.
  • Give thanks for MULTILIT literacy-based program for students to grow in literacy confidence & give thanks for parent volunteers who support it.
  • Give thanks for our Prep students, teachers and aides, pray for students to settle into routines and feel secure.
  • Year 11 & 12 Drama excursion to the University of Sydney to watch ‘On Stage’. Pray the showcase provides valuable insight into the HSC drama standards expected for our students.

Prayer Suggestions:

• Give thanks for the summer holidays and a good start to the new school year.

• Give thanks for Dr Collier our interim Principal pray for Godly wisdom and guidance as he leads us.

• Teachers as they start the new year, that they might feel refreshed after the break. Pray for good relationships to form between teachers and students.

• Anxious students who are finding it difficult being back at school. May they be filled with the Lord’s peace and find joy in being at school among their peers.

• New families, that they might feel welcomed and accepted at Covenant, and for new students to settle quickly and find special friends.

• Give thanks for the year group social gatherings that are taking place at the start of term and the opportunity they give families to connect with one another.

• Give thanks for the wonderful blessing of the new Learning Hub, for God’s gracious provision, for all the planning and hard work that has gone into this project.
