Every student at Covenant has been “created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10). As God’s handiwork, each of us has been uniquely gifted with abilities and talents to serve others and bring glory to God.

When we think about leadership, it’s not just defined by titles or positions, it can be demonstrated through everyday actions that reflect the heart of Jesus. True leadership is about serving others, just as Jesus said: “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). Our desire is to see students grow as servant hearted leaders who reflect Jesus and bless others with joy.

On Friday, Year 5 students joyfully cleaned and tidied the Prep learning space! Their humble actions spoke volumes to the Prep students and the staff who witnessed this special time. They swept floors, wiped benches, watered the garden, fixed the sandpit, cleaned up toys, and more. By serving Prep in such a practical and thoughtful way, Year 5 demonstrated what it means to lead by example.

These small acts of service remind us that leading others doesn’t have to be grand; it begins with a willingness and a desire to serve others!

What is your role here at Covie?

I am a HR Officer at Covie. My role is to support all staff throughout their time at the school from recruitment, onboarding, performance, wellbeing, and recognition. If a team member has any questions about their employment, needs support, or just wants to feel heard, that's what I'm here for!

Name 2 things on your bucket list?

I would really love to go see the Northen lights! I think it would be so incredible to see God's creation in all its glory! I would also love to go on a horseback safari. To see all the animals from that perspective would be amazing.

What flavour/s of ice cream are you getting in a cup or a cone?

I love salted caramel or mint flavoured ice cream, and as much as I like the idea of a cone I would probably choose a cup so it doesn’t get everywhere!

What do you love about your church?

I love the community and that everyone is so warm and welcoming. The best thing is seeing all the kids growing up together and loving coming to church on a Sunday. I always leave feeling encouraged from the message and built up in my faith.

Why did you decide to work in HR?

I've always loved building meaningful relationships with those around me and working in HR provides me with the ability to support people through different stages of their careers and helping to create a positive, inclusive workplace culture. I find all the different elements of HR really rewarding and find a lot of joy in contributing to an environment where people feel valued and supported.

Operation Christmas Child

It is time to return your Operation Christmas Child Boxes!

Thank you to those families who have already filled and returned their boxes. So far over 200 boxes have been filled!

If you haven't already, please remember to return your box to the Junior library.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Samaritan's Purse will collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations.
