It was a privilege for Years 5 to 12 to meet in the Hall for today’s Assembly.
Principal Melissa Brown gave a devotion from one of her favourite scriptures, Psalm 121.
Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Through our encouragement, we ‘build up the courage of others’. We encourage them to use their gifts and abilities to serve others.
We can seek to:
- Look up – to He who is bigger and more powerful than ourselves, and to be brave
- Step up – whatever our task, we aim to do it well
- Step out – of our comfort zone: to try something new, this might be to encourage others or to be a blessing at home
As we do these things, we should aim to encourage others along the way.

Congratulations to those receiving awards.
