How To Enrol in Co-Curricular Activities

How to enrol?

1. Ensure you have downloaded the latest version of the Covie App. You will know if you have the most recent version if you have the 'Co-Curricular' tile on the main screen.
2. Select the 'Co-Curricular' tile.
3. Choose 'Activity Selection'.
4. Once you have reached the 'Activity Selection' page, you will notice that your children's names are listed at the top of the screen. The tick indicates which child you are making selections for.
5. Select the desired option - Dance Academy, Duke of Edinburgh, Music Ensembles, and/or Sports Academy.
6. Once you have selected an option, you will be shown the available activities available for your child. This will not be the full list of activities; only those relevant according to the age of your child. You can view more information by selecting the desired activity and scrolling down.
7. To enrol in a Co-Curricular activity, click on the 'Select' button. This activity will be added to your cart and you can continue to browse and add other activities for your child if desired.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 for other children.
9. Choose 'Cart' at the bottom of the screen to finish all enrolments and pay (if applicable).

Co-Curricular Enrolment Terms and Conditions

• Some classes may require a minimum number of students in order to run. In the event of insufficient enrolments, students may be offered a place in an alternative class or receive a full refund.
• For students enrolled in more than four Dance Academy classes per term, the fifth and any additional classes are complimentary. Parents are required to pay for all enrolled classes upfront via the Covie App and the complimentary classes will be refunded once enrolments are finalised.
• If a student wishes to withdraw from a Dance or Sports Academy class or coding course due to a change of mind, this must be done within 7 days of commencing the activity in order to receive a refund. Refunds will not be provided if the withdrawal is made after 7 days of commencing the activity.
• Students are required to provide 24 hours notice if they wish to cancel or reschedule their small-group academic tutor session. Tutor sessions may be rescheduled subject to tutor availability. If a student wishes to withdraw from the tutor program (i.e. 4 week block), this must be done at least 24 hours prior to commencement of the first session in order to receive a refund.
• No refunds will be provided for absent students.
• If the school cancels the class (e.g. teacher unavailable), a refund for that class will be provided and parents will be notified.
• Sport Academy coaches and Dance Academy teachers must be advised in writing of any pre-existing injuries or illnesses which may affect student participation in the class.
• Students who are onsite after school are required to be taking part in a supervised activity at all times (e.g. Sports Academy, Dance Academy, After School Care, Learning Hub Years 5 to 12 only).
• When enrolling a child in the Dance Academy or Sports Academy through the Covie App, parents acknowledge they have read the Sport Risk Warning and understand the inherent risks involved with their child participating.
• Active Kids Vouchers cannot be used for the Dance or Sports Academy. This is a change from 2023.
• Creative Kids vouchers can be used for STEM/coding classes. Parents will be required to pay the full fee and provide the voucher number at the time of enrolment. The $50 refund will be processed at a later time once the voucher has been validated.
  

After Prep Care Enrolment Terms and Conditions

• After Prep Care is available for children attending Prep in the year before starting Kindergarten. This will be suitable for children attending Prep 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) or who are attending Prep 2 days (Monday, Tuesday) and are expected to start Kindergarten in the following year.
• Care will be available from 3.00 to 6.00pm on the days they attend Prep.
• After Prep Care is not part of the Prep program.
• The Prep staff will hand over to the After Prep Care staff at 3.00pm.
• After Prep Care will be located at the Extension & Enrichment classroom in Junior School (B2). There will also be a small number of Kindergarten to Year 4 children in the same group.
• Children will be collected from the B2 classroom by a parent or authorised adult family member or friend. These will be listed as emergency contacts in Edumate.
• Please provide appropriate food (no nuts) in a labelled container – child’s name, After Prep Care afternoon tea.
• Please note that After Care Prep is not registered for childcare subsidy therefore there are no discounts available.
• The fee for After Care Prep in 2024 will be $20.00 per day (3.00 to 6.00pm).
• Permanent bookings and payment can be made via the Co-Curricular tile on the Covie app.
• Casual bookings should be advised before 9.00am on the day of planned attendance by sending an email to the school (admin@covenant.nsw.edu.au). Fees will be added to school fee statements.
• In order to be eligible to attend After Care Prep, a child must be toilet trained and enrolled in Covenant Christian School Prep.
