Who to speak to...Junior School

For support regarding student wellbeing in Junior School:

  3. If required, the Classroom Teacher or Stage Coordinator may recommend speaking to the Director of Student Wellbeing, Head of Junior School, Deputy Principal or Principal.

Who to speak to...Secondary School

For support regarding student wellbeing in Secondary School:

  1. The first and best person to speak to is the Year Advisor (see below for contact details). We recommend contacting them via email to organise a time to meet.
  2. For additional support, you can contact the relevant Wellbeing Coordinator or the Counselling team (see below)
  3. If required, the Year Advisor or Wellbeing Coordinator may recommend speaking to the Director of Student Wellbeing, Head of Secondary School, Deputy Principal or Principal.

Secondary Year Advisors

The Year Advisors provide day-to-day support for their particular year group. The Year Advisor is the central contact point for staff, parents and students in areas of wellbeing. The Year Advisors can be contacted via email or by calling the Office.

Counsellors

The role of the Counsellors is to provide support and encouragement for all students and families, especially those who may not be finding things easy.

Junior School
If you would like to make an appointment with the Counsellors, parents are encouraged to either contact their teacher or speak with us if you have any concerns. We can then follow up with students individually and give you feedback, or we may offer suggestions/strategies that can be tried at home or in the classroom.

Secondary School
Students in Secondary School can be referred by a teacher, parent or self-refer. If you have concerns, please feel free to contact us so we can talk things through and work out the best way forward. There are times when the best option for a student may be seeing someone outside of school, in which case we are able to provide recommendations.

The Counsellors can be contacted via email (counsellors@covenant.nsw.edu.au) or via the Office.
