Week 5

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Praise God for the hope we have in Him!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Teachers and students away sick this week, for healing and recovery.
  • Infants Sports carnival on Wednesday, give thanks for the preparation that has gone into planning this day, good weather, safe and fun events.
  • Year 7 & 10 Shakespeare excursions, give thanks for the opportunity for students to watch the plays they are studying at the theatre.
  • Year 10 exams starting on Monday, students to prepare well, use their time wisely and not feel anxious.
  • Year 11/12 parent teacher interviews on Monday, for teachers as they prepare & give feedback that is helpful for parents & students
  • Year 12 CAFS excursion on Wednesday to the Big Issue Sydney HQ in the city. For safety as students travel independently, for compassion and understanding as they learn about the plight of the homeless.
  • Pray for Year 3 & their teachers, good health & stamina until the end of term, for students as they prepare speeches.

Week 4

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise God that we can have peace with Him through faith in Jesus!

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Parent Equip night – Understanding anxiety next Monday, will be a well-attended and helpful evening to give parents the right tools to support their children.
  • AGM taking place next Wednesday, an informative and productive meeting, give thanks for all members of the Parents Association and the Board who give their time to serve our school.
  • Pray for the Board as they move through the process of finding a new principal.
  • Pray for Year 2 & their teachers for health, good friendships & learn from their knowing God sessions that Jesus is the perfect King.
  • Boys & Girls North Met Zone Football Gala days taking place next week, for good weather and a great day of competition for all teams.
  • Students as they prepare for upcoming exams and assessments, for understanding and diligence to prepare & study.
  • Pray for ongoing enrolments across the school
  • Protection of health of staff & students through the winter months

Week 3

The Lord their God will save his people on that day as a shepherd saves his flock. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Give thanks for Mother’s Day on Sunday and all the special mums who are part of our school community.
  • Give thanks for our admin and support staff, for their hard work in keeping our school running smoothly.
  • Families experiencing financial difficulties, Godly wisdom and relief from financial stress.
  • Yarrabah trip 2 training this weekend to be held at school, for unity within the team, students to grow in their personal walk and reliance on God, and insight as they spend time preparing the kids games program.
  • Da Vinci Decathlon taking place next week at Knox. Wisdom for students as they complete the challenges, to work well with their teammates and to be respectful of one another.
  • CSSA state volleyball gala days next week, for safe travels, good weather, great teamwork, a fun competition and for students to show good sportsmanship.
  • Year 10 Half-yearly exams starting in Week 6. For students as they prepare, to be diligent in class and in their studies and to use their time wisely.
  • Pray for Year 11 students and teachers to trust in God’s strength.
  • Pray for Year 1 students & teachers that precious bible truths will become heart knowledge.

Week 2

How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation.

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Give thanks for beautiful weather for the Cross Country on Thursday.
  • Give thanks for the leaders of our school, Dr Collier and the executive team, pray for godly wisdom and guidance as they make decisions for the school and lead the staff team.
  • Give thanks for the Parents Association and the support they provide to the school.
  • School expo taking place this weekend, for staff attending to have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with perspective families.
  • Careers Information night next Monday, to be well attended by parents and students. Give thanks for Sharon Jewell the careers advisor, may she provide valuable assistance and guidance to students as they plan for their futures.
  • CIS Secondary swimming carnival taking place next Monday and Tuesday at Sydney Olympic Park, give thanks for the talent and hard work of all swimmers.
  • Pray for Kindy students & teachers, for settled routines, health & development.

Week 1

‘May the God of all hope fill you with all joy & peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy spirit.’

Prayer Suggestions:

  • Give thanks for the holidays, a time of rest and an opportunity to recharge.
  • A productive second term - Students to settle in well and not be anxious about returning school, to be diligent in their work and for positive friendships to grow.
  • New students and families, may they be warmly welcomed to our school community
  • ANZAC day celebrations on Saturday, give thanks for the opportunity to remember those who have served, protection for the current members of our armed forces and an end to all conflicts overseas.
  • Give thanks for a successful Yarrabah trip during the holidays, for gospel opportunities and time spent teaching the Bible, that the seeds that have been planted will grow.
  • For a safe Year 11 Biology excursion on Wednesday to Fairlight beach to study the coastal rock platform and to collect data for their depth study assessment task.
  • Year 12 Geography excursion to conduct field work in the city on Wednesday, may this excursion provide students with a greater understanding of urban settlements for their HSC work.
  • Pray for Year 12 as they get back into focus for studies & for Prep students and teachers.
