In Year 8, students are presented with the chance to choose elective subjects for study in Years 9 and 10. This provides them with the opportunity to discover courses more closely aligned with their interests and abilities. Research indicates that the subjects students enjoy are also ones they thrive in. It is important for both parents and students alike to make informed, prayerfully-considered and well-thought-through decisions.

Parents play a significant role in this process. By helping your child identify areas of interest and strength you will also be helping them take the first steps to make sensible career decisions and pursue a path in which to faithfully serve our Lord God.

Students can begin their decision-making by considering the gifts and abilities God has given them, potential for future study and career options, and more importantly, activities through which they can serve our Lord God.
