Explore Starting Early: Years 5 and 6

Prospective families are invited to join us at 4pm on Tuesday 4 June for an afternoon to explore the opportunities that starting early will provide your child.

Parents of Years 3 to 6 children are encouraged to bring your family to hear from our Principal, Head of Junior School, and other learning leaders about the benefits and opportunities of starting early in Years 5 and 6.

Bookings are essential and can be made at the bottom of this page.

Why start early at Covenant?

As children move into their tween and teenage years, they experience significant changes to their cognitive development. Their thinking and actions become heavily influenced by their peers and those outside of the family unit. They become increasingly independent in their learning, and are getting ready to make the significant transition from their primary years into Year 7.

Whilst Year 7 is a popular entry point for students at Covenant Christian School, we invite you to consider how starting early may benefit your child’s faith, learning and transition to high school. Your child’s blossoming independence and growth will be nurtured in a safe and supportive space at Covenant. Their faith will be encouraged and championed by Christian teachers and friends, and the opportunities offered will prepare them to step boldly into Year 7.

Our learning leaders are ready to lovingly support your child’s increasing independence, whilst helping them to develop the necessary skills to be well prepared for life and leadership now and into Secondary School.
