Sport is an important part of our Australian culture
Covenant provides opportunities for students to participate in many different types of sporting activities. Being located in Sydney's Northern Beaches allows us to offer some sports not available elsewhere.
Sport is an important part of education in promoting an active lifestyle, developing teamwork, understanding the importance of training, and doing your best.
All compulsory sport is conducted during school hours. Covenant Christian School Sydney encourages students to also participate in their local community sporting teams.
Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country (School, Zone, State, CIS).
Inter-school competition in some sports such as Softball, Cricket, Netball, Soccer, Touch Football, Baseball and Rugby League during school hours.
In Years 7 and 8 students participate in a wide variety of sporting activities including Water Safety and Survival.
In Years 9, 10 and 11 students can select from a wide range of sports which may include Squash, Rock Climbing, Ten Pin Bowling, Surfing & Surf Survival, Canoeing/Kayaking, Circuit Training and indoor sports.
Optional after-school training for students wishing to improve athletics skills or represent the school in sports such as Rugby League, Soccer and Basketball.
