Our History
The pioneers of Covenant Christian School Belrose on Sydney's Northern Beaches wanted an education for their children which was clearly and explicitly Christian in perspective.
We owe these Godly, dedicated, passionate, generous and hard working Christians our gratitude for their vision and wisdom. Over thirty years later the initial vision of the founding parents is still strong and vibrant and continues to be the driving mission of the school. Covenant has grown in student numbers and has been blessed with wonderful facilities and resources.

It is good to remember their determination in overcoming obstacles.
Here is a quick snapshot...
• 1965 group of Christians began to discuss starting a Christian School
“… it was soon evident there was conflict between the home and the school. ... At home they spoke of God the creator, at school it was the Darwinian theory. Sure there were some lovely Scripture lessons, but this very method would lead the children to believe that God and religion was something separate and had little or nothing to do with real life. After all, are we not to acknowledge God in all things? ... Frustrated by the lack of control over the education of their children and the means to effect any change, they started doing something.”

After a long journey of faith and hard work Covenant Christian School was born.

Since then we have continued to faithfully teach, nurture, grow and expand into new facilities. We have much to be thankful for.
Our School Logo
Our School logo conveys a message.
The Word of God is the basis upon which we develop the curriculum and life of our school. That is why it is central in our logo, represented by the cross of Christ, Jesus being the Word of Life, with the Bible as the horizontal bar, God’s written Word.
The words flowing out of the Bible, “All knowledge through Christ”, remind us that we can only really know God, and thus have real knowledge and wisdom, when we know Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
The circle surrounding the whole logo symbolises God, who has no beginning and no end, who never changes and always keeps His Word. He surrounds all of life, and has sovereign control over every aspect of our lives.
God is a Triune God, Father (the circle), Son (the fish), and Spirit (the dove), who in His awesome majesty deserves all praise in all we do at our school.
