ESL Program

Covenant Christian School has an English as a Second Language Program for students from overseas. Students for whom English is not their first language are taught English by specialist teachers. These students undertake a course which has been especially developed to help them improve their English language skills at the same time as they undertake their normal studies. They take all other subjects in mainstream classes.

Applicants will still need to have a minimum proficiency of spoken and written English to enable them to cope with the studies.  An AEAS assessment may be requested. Students whose level of English proficiency would prevent them learning effectively in the classroom may be advised to enrol for a period of up to 6 months at an intensive language centre before taking up their position at Covenant Christian School.
