The Bald Covie is Covenant Christian School’s own “mini Archibald”. The artwork is by Year 10 students and each is a self portrait, yet often not in the traditional sense. Students are asked to:
- Design three individual portrait works that form a Body of work
- Develop a concept that is represented in all three works
- One work must be completed in black and white and one in colour
- One work must be a collage, using a variety of media
- One work must show a key emotion that gives the audience an insight into the student's personality
- One work must incorporate text and signs and symbols
This is the fourth year of the Bald Covie and the second where voting for the People's Choice Award has been open to the general public. (See 2008 Artworks).
