Serving other Christian SchoolsDate Posted: 04-Nov-2009 |
Covenant Christian School is a member of Christian Education National. This association of like minded Christian schools includes many smaller schools around Australia. Covenant is one of the largest schools in the group. Because of this our school seeks to find ways to serve these other schools and work together with them. Sometimes this is sharing of Extension and Enrichment camps. Last week we donated 20 computers to Kuyper Christian School in North Richmond and another 15 computers to Heritage Christian School in Port Macquarie. Covenant was upgrading computers so it was great we were able to help these schools in a practical way with passing on the older ones. Our Maths Coordinator Mr Muddle is currently providing training at Heritage Christian School. This is a Kindergarten to Year 12 school with 200 students. Originally the request was from their Mathematics Coordinator to assist them with the teaching and learning, assessment and Teaching Christianly aspects of Mathematics in the school. Mr Muddle was then asked to run a few additional things with the wider staff. One aspect was to help teachers understand how to Teach any subject from a Christian perspective.
