Reptile man brings Freddo the frog to school

In science this term, Year 3 has been learning about the Duffy’s Forest Vegetation Community (DFVC).  We were to go on a bush walk in Duffy’s Forest to see firsthand all the things we had been learning about.  Unfortunately, the council scheduled back burning the week end before we were due to go on our bushwalk, so it had to be post-poned until Term 4.  Part of this excursion was to include a visit from a reptile man to show us up close the animals of the DFVC.  This still went ahead.   Following are two recounts of the afternoon the reptile man came to Covenant…


When the reptile man (Andrew) came he was really nice.  The first thing he showed us was Blossom the ringtail possum.  She felt so soft.  Some people put their finger near its tail and it would curl around your finger.  She was also so cute.  Next we saw Freddo.  Who do you think Freddo is? Yes, you guessed it.  Freddo is a frog.  Freddo is a green tree frog.  He is so green.  The reptile man said that when you wash your car all the soapy water gets into the drain and frogs die.  The frog kept on peeing.  After that we saw Frank the tawny frogmouth.  It looked cute and its tongue looked like leaves.  Also its feathers felt soft too.  Shortly after we saw a fox’s skin and it had eaten heaps of things. 

Afterwards I saw Precious the diamond python.  It felt awesome and it didn’t scare me one bit!  Not long after I saw Joanna the goanna and it was about two metres long.  It tried to climb onto Andrew’s head but he was wearing a hat.  Its claws looked very sharp.  I liked Frank the tawny frogmouth the best.

I loved it when the reptile man came!
He brought a few animals.  He brought:
Blossom the possum
Freddo the frog
Frank the tawny frogmouth
Joanna the goanna
And ….(my favourite!)
Precious the diamond python!
It was a beautiful afternoon.

lol that's my article the top one. it twas totally awesome wicked and somewhat fun and fantastic and for sure the reptile man andrew thingy will be better than goin to duffys forest i think cause its 50 50! Gggoooooo covey
