Sausage Cup Basketball Teachers vs Yr 12

Date Posted: 16-Sep-2009

Every year we hold the Sausage Cup. This is a staff verses Year 12 competition held during lunchtimes in which various sports are played and the losing side put on a BBQ for the winners. While the Sausage Cup is usually competitive it is also a lot of fun and in some ways the last chance to interact with our year 12s before they depart.

A thrilling game took place at lunch time today which quickly grew a large crowd of students. The teachers dominated the game early getting out to a 10-0 start. As the game progressed year 12 came back strong to close the gap to 20-12. There were some outstanding performances from both sides with Dave Gray, Dave Tatzenko and Nicole Conway for the teachers and David (hang-time) Huang for the students. The final result however saw the teachers win this round of the Sausage Cup 34-21.

Thanks to all those who played or showed their support on the side lines.
