Escend Band wins The Big Exo Day voting

A group of former Covenant students have won an online voting competition to play at The Big Exo Day in September. They will be playing at 12pm on the Debut Stage.

Here's an update from the band...
Thank you so much for your votes, the support was incredible! We actually got the most number of votes of any band in the competition. We will now be playing at The Big Exo Day!! We are so stoked to get there, its going to be an amazing day!
 
The Big Exo Day is a one day Christian run youth festival on the 19th September that ends with an epic night concert and aims not just to entertain, but to bring a message of encouragement to young people; that no matter what you might be dealing with in life and no matter how hard things might be, life can still be EXO (excellent), and you can fulfill your dreams and achieve awesome and unheard of things. Its going to be an amazing event headlined by some awesome bands including RELIENT K and HASTE THE DAY!!
 
On the day we will perform against 6 other bands for a grand prize valued at over $20,000 including:

   1. Time in a world class recording studio with a renowned producer/engineer to record your breakout single.  
   2. Mastering by a world class company
   3. Record / distribution deal
   4. Video clip
   5. Myspace/merch artwork by a world class graphic artist
   6. Photo shoot with a top quality photographer
   7.  Radio interviews and exposure through Hope 103.2
   8.  Stocking of your single in Koorong Bookstores
