Fusion night display of HSC major works

Date Posted: 27-Aug-2009

Covenant Christian School's annual Fusion night is an opportunity for our school community and beyond to marvel at the creativity of our students (As well as their teachers!!). Marking for the HSC major works has already been completed for these subjects. Visual Arts, Design Technology and Industrial Technology displayed their works and skills during the evening.

Mr Thornton congratulated the students on "finishing" their projects. He highlighted the ability to finish things well is one of the great qualities needed for life. Even after these projects are forgotten by the students the qualities they developed in mastering time and motivation will continue. For many students the last weeks of these projects have taken enormous amounts of time and patience. The excitement over the original ideas and the planning have been finished by persistence. Well done to all the students.

Here are just a a few of the works displayed on the night. More photos are being added. Some individual works and their stories will also appear in separate blogposts.

Thanks to all those who were involved in Fusion Night. It was a wonderful night and lots of visitors commented on the artistry, skill and workmanship of the students involved. It is always great to see kids developing and using their gifts in this very tangible way. Congratulations!
