In term 3 Junior school students had the opportunity to be involved in a readathon inspired by the Olympics. The students participated by entering various reading events. For example: If students entered ‘The Triple Jump event’ they had to read 3 books by the same author or 3 books in a series.

A Bronze medal (with chocolate inside) was awarded to those students who entered 10 events, a Silver medal was given for 15 events and a Gold medal was presented for students completing 20 events.
The medals were presented to the Olympic readers in a Junior School Assembly as the Australian flag was raised to the National Anthem.
Congratulations to the many Olympians for a fantastic effort.
