Last week Junior School had a special week called “Those in Need Week”. We learnt about other people
who are in need around the world, in particular about our sponsor child, Rachel, from the Philippines. We also learnt how to practically help others. Part of this learning was fundraising for Rachel, so each child in Junior School brought $2 to contribute to Rachel’s sponsorship.
With the help of Mrs Ruth-Mary Smith, we created a Filipino style art mural and the whole of Junior School placed their money on it to create more art of their own.
Everyone learnt a great deal and it is summed up by the following bible verse that we learnt:
"If we have all we need and see someone in need, we must have pity on that person. Children, you show your love for others by truly helping them." 1 John 3:17-18
